Our History

Rich’s Dock Company was started in 1980, recently after the original owner, “Rich Poole” and his wife “Mona” moved to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1979. The company was incorporated soon after in 1985.

A parcel of land was purchased by Rich in Camdenton, MO on the Niangua Arm with 8 acres and 600 feet of shoreline, off Lake Road 5-77. Rich’s Dock Company is still active at this location today.

In 2004, I, Rick Hollingsworth and my partner, Doug Smith purchased the company upon Rich’s retirement. We decided to leave the name of the company as is, out of great respect to our dear friend and mentor Rich Poole.

To date we have a 30'x 72' shop, and four out buildings. We have two work barges; one large barge that delivers our new docks around the lake and another smaller, yet faster barge for service repairs jobs. In addition, we also have a cargo barge add-on for larger projects.

Since or new endeavor of ownership, we have grown the business substantially since, 1979 and continue to expand and strive for greatness.
